C1-C2 is an advanced English proficiency level, where students can understand and express themselves fluently in a variety of contexts including:
Understanding – Students can understand complex, longer texts and recognize implicit meaning.
Expressing – Students can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, and use language flexibly and effectively.
Writing – Students can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects.
To reach the C1 level, students typically need to study English formally for several years and practice regularly. Students can expect to reach the C2 level with about 1,000 hours of cumulative instruction.
